Job Vacancy: Ambulance Medical Assistant

The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS), Penang Chapter is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to join its team as an Ambulance Medical Assistant. The responsibilities of this position include responding to Emergency 999 calls and non-emergency patient transfers, assessing patients and providing emergency treatment, assisting with medical diagnosis, providing medical standby services during events, and participating in disaster response operations. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens aged 21 years and above, possess a valid full Class D (manual) driving licence, and hold a recognized diploma in Paramedic Studies, Nursing, or Medical Assistant studies. Candidates with advanced first aid qualifications are encouraged to apply. Applicants with diplomas in other fields are also welcome to submit their applications. The successful candidate will enjoy benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, Employment Insurance System (EIS) contributions, allowances, medical insurance, and on-the-job training. The basic salary offered is up to RM2,000 per month, excluding allowances and overtime payments. Therefore, the Malaysian Red Crescent strives to address these issues through conducting thorough assessments, working on early disaster risk reduction interventions and working with communities and volunteers to prepare them through education and messaging. Destruction and loss of lives, livelihoods and properties can be prevented and mitigated through early forecast-based actions.
